Graphic design is more than a task or job. It is a passion, and the passion grows and develops with all varieties of inspiration and external influence.
Take magazine layout for instance. In my mind, Alexey Brodovitch, who deigned for Harper’s Bazaar from 1934 – 1958. His work became revolutionary and unique – his designs inspirational not just in his time, but for designers still.
I am in love with his style… classic and beautiful, and always using photographs and text in the best possible form of juxtaposition.
